According to ICT Ministry’s Public Relation, in this meeting, Dr. Vaezi mentioned the preparedness and eagerness of Iran for cooperation in various sectors, stating that: “The existing common potentials and capacities between the two countries such as geographical border with the Caspian Sea, can help the expansion of relations and joint collaboration, for the present and also for the future.”
The ICT Minister recalled some of these activities, saying that: “Construction and establishment of Pharmaceutical factory, automobile manufacturing, advanced and well-equipped hospital, agricultural cooperation, and collaboration and joint efforts in the Caspian Sea region are the main proposals of Iran to the Azerbaijan Republic.”
Vaezi described the various aspects of these proposals and the related technical studies of the past year, and said: “The technical experts and specialists of both parties in each of those sectors study and conduct research in regard to the implementation stage of the projects, identifying and reporting possible obstacles and hindrances to the related officials; The negotiation sessions between the officials of the two countries have been carried out and are close to be finalized.”
The Communication Minister referred to the importance of the North-South Corridor Railroad Project, saying: “The extreme importance of this project for Iran, Azerbaijan and other countries of the region has made us mobilize all our capacities and potential to complete and execute this essential project.”
The co-Chairman of the Joint Economic Commission, continued by emphasizing on the expanding collaborations in three sectors of Pilgrimage, Tourism, and Health Care, and said: “We expect to witness the blossoming of bilateral relations in the implementation of these areas of cooperation, through establishment of a joint committee to remove possible obstacles.”
Shahin Mustafayev, the Azeri Minister of Economy and Industry also underscored the importance of expanding relations and the interaction between Iran and Azerbaijan, stating that: “The existence of various capacities and potentials in Iran is the reason behind Azerbaijan’s interest in increasing relations in economic, commercial and investment sectors.”
The Azeri co-chairman of the Joint Economic Commission concluded that: “We are ready to cooperate in all the above-mentioned areas, including Hotel construction, tourism and travel services.”
